STHLMESS: Through Blizzard and Sunshine

There is happiness, community, distractions, and what feels like is an endless summer.
It is the consistent underlying melancholy that pulls me back. You can't bring out your camera in these moments. Your voice cracks, your muscles ripples from adrenaline. Your hands are frozen stiff, the wind too intense, hidden beneath the snow is either ice or tram tracks, your eyes observe every modern Volvo or Volkswagen is a suspected police car.
Being alone on the road I never would capture the moment where the crank snaps, the cars try to mow you down, the balancing act of riding over ice without wintertires.
The friends, the Messengers, the streets, the strangers that you would see more often than your family. I often think about these times and when I look at these photos I think I could have continued forever.
This is a documentation of that time. It is for me and the people I considered my family.
